LED lights are becoming more and more popular and each year we seen more offerings. From small lightweight panels to moonlights, LED lights offer low power consumption and a low heat light source.
I had an opportunity to tryout the Genaray 50W Moonlights. I used them for both the video review as well as shooting a sample product shot. For both purposes they worked perfectly. As a video light there was plenty of power at 50w to light me with a sunlit window behind me. Using two lights at fill power was at least twice as much light as I needed. Shooting product shots, where I can expose the image for as long as needed, there is more than enough light.
You won't freeze motion with this constant light source, but you could use them as the constant light mixed with a strobe or speedlight to capture a motion trail the freeze the subject (a dancer?) at the end of a shot.
